1 Grayson Perry: Map Of Nowhere

Displayed opposite the Mappa Mundi is a work by an artist better known for his ceramic pots. The Map Of Nowhere is an etching inspired by both Hereford's medieval map and one at Ebstorf which was destroyed during the War. Perry's work is part of an exhibition involving five established artists and 14 degree students from Hereford College Of Arts.

3 In Steam Day

The Museum tells the crucial but neglected story of the supply of drinking water throughout the ages and houses a triple-expansion steam pump - the oldest working specimen in the UK. This special edition Allen Steam Engine In Steam Day will see the museum celebrate Hereford's contribution during World War One.

4 The Mappa Mundi And Chained Library Exhibition

Hereford's greatest treasure is a unique map constructed on a single sheet of calf skin vellum. It depicts the history, geography and destiny of humanity as it was understood in Christian Europe in the late 13th and early 14th centuries. The 17th-century Chained Library is also very special and includes the eighth-century Hereford Gospels.

5 The Chase Distillery Tasting Tour

A guide shares insights into traditional mashing, fermenting and distilling processes, followed by a tour of the bottling line, where every bottle is still filled and sealed by hand. 6 Kenchester Water Gardens

A disabled-friendly specialist centre which holds the National Collection of Hardy Water Lilies. The six-acre gardens consist of landscaped pools containing tropical and cold-water fish whilst indoors there is an aquarium holding brightly coloured fish, plus turtles, frogs, toads, newts, crabs, giant African land snails and other exotics.

7 The Black And White House Museum

The stunningly well-preserved Jacobean house is a remarkably grand example of a 17th century timber-framed building, and now plays host to a museum documenting life in Jacobean times. The collection of English oak furniture is internationally important. Hands-on activities for younger visitors include puzzles and replica clothing.

The British adventurer recently retraced Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen's 1905 dogsled journey, travelling 1,100 kilometres from Hershel Island off the coast of the Yukon to Eagle, Alaska.
